Probably thought what the Bloody fuckin hell was that. Some looney idiot ranting on about social responsibility and being judged by your peers, regardless of the legal system. I don’t know Hunter Moore but anyone who makes money by exploiting people’s misfortune is simply a wanker, and the more people that know it the better.
Could Anonymous be a one man, a group of single geeky men hacking from their mum’s spare room, could it be Daphne the telephone operating lady, could it be undercover cops taking laws into their own hands? I really don’t give a fuck, I believe Anonymous is a concept, those who know can join, but as long as the message is clear and simple – Don’t be a cunt – it sits fine with me.
Just like superheroes, that we all love, Anonymous also try to protect the vulnerable by attacking those who try to profit from their misfortune. They are guardian angel-esq of the internet.
We will protect anyone who is victimised by abuse of our internet, we will prevent the stalking, rape, and possible murders as by-product of his sites. Operation anti-bully. Operation hunt Hunter engaged. We are Anonymous, we are legion, we do not forgive, we do not forget, Hunter Moore, expect us.
For those of you who like to ‘taste before you buy’ will realise Demonoid has been down for nearly two weeks, and it has now reported that it has been forced offline by the Ukrainian authorities after letters from Interpol.
Anonymous have now launched DDoS attacks against those involved. See the announcement.
This sounds like a fantastic idea, that all users can remain anonymous whilst using the internet. It is called The Tor Project, hosted by Amazon (there is a charge unfortunately); Data is sent through a complex network of ‘relays’ or bridges run by volunteers around the world with all internet addresses are encrypted to add to anonymity. Activists have used it in Iran and Egypt have used this to be able to access information as well as upload without fear of reprisal. However there is always those who use it to hide their illegal activity (child porn), although Anonymous (hacking crew) have been attempting to hack those accounts of anyone involved in this.
As more and more of the world become based around a virtual world, a footprint is left in the ether for others to utilise. Does free speech become liabelous when written down? Whilst we fight against any form of the introduction of identity cards, are whole life could be worked out by our internet usage. Accept for the monthly fee The Tor Project is a great idea.
