>Do you have to have ambitions / objectives to become fulfilled or can it happen by accident. I suppose the reason I’m asking is the old age class issue that the working class just accept their lot and get on with it. Does this mean that fulfilment is sacrificed in order to deal with what life has presented them, or that they are simply fulfilled as nothing more was desired? As you may guess they are rhetorical questions with no specific answer. Is fulfilment the same as happiness, can it actually be measured? There are so many roads to take, so many decisions to make – God it sounds like a fucking song – and responsibilities to uphold along the way, and what if they all don’t gel easily.
My reason for all the questions in my head (where else) is the recent article about people no longer can EXPECT to own their own property. So fucking what, There is no need to own property but one may have a need for geographical security. Someone I love once asked me why do you need to own your own home – I replied I don’t I just need the security not to be fucked around by landlords. What needs to be done is stronger legislation to enforce landlords to provide liveable accommodation at a fair price for as long a term as that particular tenant requires, wait………………that was called council housing.
