Two words that are not usually associated with football, but Wigan’s Manager, Roberto Martinez has proven he has both by turning down a chance to triple his salary, and staying with Wigan. These are rare commodities not only in football but in all walks of life; greed and the general desire for an easy life consumes our communities, but Roberto Martinez has reaffirmed that this isn’t always the case. No doubt Wigan will struggle again next season (along with my beloved Wolves) but at least the players know that their manager is committed to the cause.
