To be kind….

….Viva l’anarchie

Whilst chatting with a friend today I realised how perception is a strange thing. ‘First impressions’ count’ I was always told, ‘you are judged by the company you keep’. Generally people are concerned how other people perceive them ‘Does my bum look big in this’ etc, but so often the how they portray themselves gives exactly the impression that they didn’t want. Material possessions, although can be a sign of wealth, they can also be a sign of someone who is far from wealthy, and can ill afford.

In this world where we are told what to buy, wear (8 year old make over with free thong), listen to and most of why we follow is that we believe we will fit in and belong, the more of it you have the better a person you must be. People should strive to be true to themselves no matter how ridiculed they perceive they will be, and in most cases aren’t. Oppression is always hidden in everything we see and hear in order to keep us in our place the question is just identifying it.
