Clarence House have just released the figures that Prince Charles’ spending has increased by 18% this year. His income from grants-in-aid and government departments rose 17.9% from £1.66m to £1.96m. His transportation costs was £1.08m, a 56% increase from the previous year. It’s now time for people to realise that the royal family is something that cannot and shouldn’t be afforded. The tourism arguement is bollocks on two points; a) people come to see the buildings and the history surrounding them as they never actually meet the royals. For a tenner you can sit on Princess Anne’s knee and for Fifty quid well Pippa would never be so popular b) Windsor Castle is only the most visited of all the royal tourist attractions but this is 17 places behind legoland. People are more interested in various sculptures and buildings made out of little plastic bricks rather that various sculptures and buildings occupied bt the royals. However one event that could invlve the royals that people would pay a fortune to see is their public execution. I can guarantee the blackmarket tickets would be selling for 6 figure sums.
