>I was at a meeting yesterday of our local ‘protest’ group, and a colleague made the comment that ‘sometimes every action is political’ when reminded of our non political stance. I couldn’t agree more, whatever we do in life has political ramifications from the way to speak to your neighbour to how you choose to spend your spare time; the irony is that the ballot box probably has the least impact politically then other actions.
Tomorrow is the day of strikes and I am pleased to say 15 out of the 19 teachers of my children’s school are on strike. It’s fantastic that my children go to a school where the teachers are standing up for what they believe, it shows the children that you don’t have to sit down and take it from ‘the man’.
