As people cancel their sky suscription due to the whole Murdoch it made me think of the impications surrounding your decision. When you boycott something it is usually due to beliefs rather than just simply a change of brand, but what do you do if the reason that you were boycotting something changes. For example many people boycotting brands due to them being tested on animals, (and quite rightly so as I would rather have something tested on a human than a rabbit) but what do you do if the company says they realise they were wrong, bow to public demand and change there working practices? Is there any encouragement to now buy that brand as the reasons for the boycott no longer exist or do you still boycott it because they are ‘evil bastards’ anyway. To use boycotting as an effective political tool surely there has to been ‘rewards’ for the subject boycotted if the reasons for the boycott have been addresed and resolved.
Will Murdoch become a saint? Is a bear catholic?
