What a pretentious heading, but oh so true. There is a song for every occasion that will always heighten the experience, whether it be relaxing, cleaning, dancing…..you get my point. However I would argue that there is only certain music that fits the criteria – it should be creative and inspired not made on a production line and played loud on commercial radio stations.
Music itself is not class based – anyone can pick up something and make music, whether or not it fits with the normal convention of note structure is something else, and can inspire revolution or at least get a message across.
Why am I writing this, because it is so lovely on a Sunday Morning to be listening to lovely calm relaxing music by Godspeed you Black Emperor. Pure Bliss.
