UNISON have called the police civillian staff out in Nottingham to strike in protest at the proposed Government cuts. Again the cuts are proving to be too fast and too emcompassing with another 750 jobs to go. After the Tories destroyed most, if not all, of the industry that kept the Midlands and the Northern economies going, the last biggest industry this country has to offer is the public sector.
Again and again the Tories (I stopped using the expression coalition as that suggests that the Liberals actually have an input into policy), are squeezing the working class for every penny. Surely it makes sense that if you are going to have a capitalist econmy, people need money to spend, yet redundancies are becomming more and more common place.
