Last Thursday was the council meeting regarding the review of The Gold Coast Bar & Restaurant (see previous post), and on Friday I spoke to Nana and Yaw to get an update. PC Darren ‘Cecil’ Rhodes, accompanied by two residents, put forward the complaints, some of which will be easily addressed. However over 60 local people turned up to support our local bar, and gave great testimony to it’s integration within our local community. A resounding result for the Gold Coast.
I have also been asked to arrange another mini festival as per ‘The Carny’ event last year; Yaw suggested it could be an annual event. Watch this space.
