As more reports come out that the economy is not growing and that unemployment is increasing, I came across a story about Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is selling off it’s wild west historic artifacts to help them out of a financial hole. So I ask what can we sell off that we no longer need. Who owns the royal family? If they are intrisinkly linked to this country then surely they belong to the public, after all the taxpayer does fund them. So therefore why don’t we privatise them or sell them to the highest bidder, it’s what the tories usually do with anything that the public own.
Another idea is hold public executions and sell the TV rights to the highest bidder. Imagine the money that could be made selling off all the royal stuff to the collectors. Could even make a roaring trade of visits to the Tower of London and see real Royals kept in the tower whilst waiting for their execution.
Two birds with one stone!
