You could almost say it’s desperation as Cameron is trying to w(h)ine and dine his way around ‘our’ special relationship with the US of A. He tells the US public that we need to sort out cheaper fuel for US and GB, yes the right words are being said but look what is actually behind them:
- UK is about £1.36 a litre compared to $3.50 a gallon in the US. My crude maths makes that about 60p a litre in the US.
- Tax is mainly the reason for high prices therefore actually in the Govt hands
- Spiralling inflation is raising the cost of fuel and commodities which is not matched by wage increases
- After budget fuel will probably be about £1.50 a litre
So the reality is that everything our Govt is doing is the opposite to what Cameron is saying. It’s easy to give lipservice to popular cause, especially when you have just had dinner with the chief executives of Goldman Sachs. Yes the same Goldman Sachs who calls their cliebts muppets and brags how they rip them off. Cameron’s action speak louder than his words.
What a WANKER – even Gordon Brown tried to warn the voters.
