Banjo pioneer Earl Scruggs passed away today after many years of entertaining an audience. Thanks to my banjo playing friend, Richard Lamy, I got introduced to the music of Earl Scruggs and Bill Monroe last year and have never looked back. Earl Scruggs pioneered the way a banjo could be played with many musicians owing a great debt to him.
Just watch when he uses the tuning pegs when playing……..genius
