Why anyone in Bradford voted for George Galloway is anybody’s guess, unless it was for his surreal (yet embarrassing)stint on Big Brother, but it’s who didn’t win that is more important than who did; I bet Milliband and co are smarting from the kick in the teeth that has just got. No person (unless they are really stupid / selfish / lacking class consciousness or all three) in the north is going to vote Tory, I’m suprised they even got over 2000 votes in Bradford, but now people are also turning their back on Labour after years of selling out the working class; I’m sure I could have stood in Bradford (I do need a hobby!) and beat the Tories and Labour.
Now is the time for voting forms to have ‘I reject all candidates’ on the voting form instead of forcing people to accept unacceptable candidates. Where is the democracy in only having a limited choice? If the rejection wins then the constituency put forward any person to represent them not someone who is backed and limited within an institutionised political party.
