Ed Milliband has stated the Coalition has let down Middle England (I do agree Wolves will be relegated this season) but what about lower England. Every politicain always talks about middle England as they are the most fickle voters. Those less well off in society will generally vote for Labour if they vote at all and these are the people that are screwed by all parties. The Tories are never going to gain there vote so Fuck ’em; Labour (pre Galloway) could always count on their vote so Fuck ’em, but middle England will sway like the wind, dependant to whats on offer.
Again I call for the ballot paper to have a space for ‘I do not want to be represented by any of the above’ and bring democracy back to grass roots level. A area should be represented by someone from that area working for that area – local poliocies for local people if you will. Thatcher destroyed the power of local councils after the north built up mini socialist states, but they were more responsive to the needs and requirements of teh public they cerved that London based politics.
