Whilst ‘vintage clothing shops’ are renowned for scouring charity shops to find a bargain then sell it at a heavily inflated prices, no councils are now making life easier for them by letting them the second hand clothes left in recycling banks, in return for a cut of the profit.
The original Tory philosophy is becoming more prevalent than the new ‘Big Society’ one’ let’s exploit a situation for profit – there will be no handouts under this Government. Charities were meant to be the cornerstone of the Big Society, but they are now having a source of income taken away from them.
