Europe is in crisis and Cameron has stood firm, so Europe has told him to fuck off, but it’s not like our economy is doing any better.Standard Chartered has revised it’s own growth forecasts due to the “the mounting crisis” especially the eurozone. Standard Chartered economist Thomas Costerg has stated:
We think there will be a triple shock to the European economy, the first being a confidence crisis, consumers spend less, businesses invest less. The second is that banks are tightening credit owing to the credit squeeze and the third is national governments tightening budgets all over Europe.
Another recession is looming, with Standard Chartered predicting the economy will contract by 1.3%, having previously predicted growth of 0.6% for next year, compared to a contraction of 1.5% in the eurozone economy.
What do we gain by staying isolated, if anything Europe has been more open to anarchist /socialist / libertarian views, far more than Britain, and it would maybe aid our class struggle. I have mentioned in a previous post that I believed we should have created stronger ties with the east. At the time struggling economies that were dominated the west. Oh how the east must be laughing now. I believe this is a reason why Britain should forget it’s isolation and independance (based on imperialism, nationalism, jingoism and the crown) – historically how many countries have we invaded stole their wealth and then handed them back the shell?
Potentially if Europe withdrew their support of the British Economy, we would lose over 50% of our export incomes – can we afford to stand alone. I have always thought that in a crisis you should pull together.
