With all the talk of whether the Bahrain race should happen or not, Bernie Ecclestone came out with the comment that Formula One isn’t political! I say bollocks, Formula One is political but one of class politics. It’s not like everyone gets a chance to have a go at motor racing at school – only the rich whose daddy can buy them expensive go karts. The sport appears to simply designed to self perpetuate money for people who have money, or for Jeremy Clakson to wank over how fast something can go. Lets face it the only exciting bit is the first corner at the start!

Why restrict the speed of the cars, it would be more fun to use the sport for experimental car design for the maximum speed – no safety restrictions – I’m sure the world won’t miss a few less playboys!
