The best opening to a brits award show was by the KLF – the brits would never be the same again. Yes there has been ‘silly’ instances but never where the music cam and kicked the industry up the arse. You can’t even watch it on YouTube as the BMI have pulled it!

I’d never heard of most of the artists that were nominated or is it perhaps that I don’t know music manufactured by Simon Cowell etc. When SWP were at there prime, Kylie and Jason did get nominations but ‘real’ artists did as well – it wasn’t just manufactured pop.

The awards mean nothing anymore and are simply indicative why many artist want actually nothing to do with major record labels.
