Dear petitioners,
There are over 40,000 of you signed up to this petition, yet only around 2000 people have registered their objection to the South Bank Centre’s planning application for their “festival wing” development, which is what will cause the demolishing of the skate park.
If you are part of the 95% that hasn’t done this yet, please do this now as the deadline to submit your objections OFFICIALLY to Lambeth council is fast approaching.
We cannot stress enough how important this is. It is actually the MOST IMPORTANT contribution you can make to saving the skatepark. The council recognises petitions as just a SINGLE objection, no matter how many signatures on it.
You ALL need to register your INDIVIDUAL objection on the planning application. This will also result in you getting a receipt via email from Lambeth council which will contain the comments you submit in your objection.
Please don’t delay any longer and do this TODAY. It will literally only take you a few minutes.
Here are the step by step instructions on how to do this:
STEP 1: VISIT THIS LINK:
STEP 2:
CLICK THE “REGISTER” TAB (TOP RIGHT OF MENU BAR) AND FILL IN YOUR DETAILS.
STEP 3:
CLICK THE “COMMENT” TAB ON LINK IN STEP 1.
STEP 4:

STEP 5:

STEP 6:

Thank you,
Skylon

I went there yesterday to express my support. I took my skateboarding dog but the noise was too loud for him, so we did not stay and then I took him to the peace and quiet of the Inner Temple Gardens where he was welcomed and given free cakes. Skateboarding dogs do not seem welcome at the site on the Southbank and I think this is a form of cynophobia.
