Whilst it is not on the level of chemical warfare, the Bedroom Tax is causing lots of families suffering and despair.
UN official Raquel Rolnik, who is reporting on adequate housing across the world, has spent two weeks in this country and has produced a report which classes the bedroom tax as designed
without the human component in mind.
Obviously the Tories have refuted her findings.
Wow she has been in this country two weeks and already understands decades of Tory rule.
However watch this space, as Obama has cancelled the vote on Syria and it is rumoured that he be reinstating a vote for action against Britain, for the cruelty it has inflicted on the unfortunate, with evidence already presented by the UN.
I don’t think she understands anything. If she did she would speak out against the housing conditions in the favellas in her own country, and maybe open her gob about the wealthy rock stars whose posh houses are in the valleys serviced by these poor people. Then the Tories would not be able to take the piss out of her remarks as they will certainly do.
I hope it paves the way to looking at these issues. The inequality between housing/ land for the rich and the need for affordable housing for the rest of us is becoming wider. None of the parties have or will address this but perhaps the worlds eyes may back them into a corner?
