Yes the Ukraine is a complex situation, and I’m sure Russia are just ensuring they remain in control of their warm water port (an historical issue) but why is the UK and USA getting so fired up. Four days ago Islamist militants killed over 100 people in Nigeria, including school children, but this hasn’t really been given much headlines.

Is it a hangover from the Cold War and Capitalism trying to coax old eastern bloc countries to the ways of the west (imagine a drug dealer giving your first taste for free). Crimea, although classed as Ukraine has historically been Russian, full of Russians wanting to remain Russian.

Perhaps there is oil in Crimea.
