Kill the Poor part 3 – Is Iain Duncan Smith the fairest man alive?

So capping all benefits at 1% is fair, even though food and energy may increase annually at a higher rate? IDS added that benefits payable to pensioners, including the Winter Fuel Allowance, were not being capped because older people had “less flexibility” and did not have the option of finding work.

So is capping benefits simply a punishment for not having a job?

I suggest that we should all queue up outside IDS’s house at night to see if he really can sleep!

Been listening to lots of people moaning that they will be poverty stricken because they are going to lose their child allowance despite earning 60k.

I suggest to those they take a good look at their spending and maybe thing about selling that 4×4 for their partner just to take the kids to school.

benefits, cruelty, Dickensian, ids, immorality

Coming soon to an area near you!

It’s always a wonderful opportunity for politicians when a story as titilating (sorry for the pun) as our future Queen being pictured topless, to announce some pending legislation that is completely immoral, prejudicial and simply cruel.

IDS want to link benefit increases to wage rises rather than inflation, and change the fixed pension. Fucking hell, it’s hard enough to live on the basic state benefits anyway (forget the stories that the daily mail prints about every claimant being an immigrant and living of £75,000 a day) without it becomming increasingly more difficult each year.

Do they really want to take us book to the Dickensian ages with an introduction of workhouses………’boy for sale, he’s going cheap’…………..yes they probably do……..’shine ya boots govner’ as I take off my hat and pull my forelock when my betters walk by.

benefits, CESA, terminally ill, tory cuts

Following on from my Burke & Hare comment, I have read today that the Tories are now planning to cut the benefits of the terminally ill. How fucking low can you get? If you do not die within 12 months from the start of receiving Contributory Employment Support Allowance (CESA), your benefit will be stopped. However terminally-ill people with less than six months to live will not be affected by the changes.

This isn’t due to be put in place until April 2012, if it is even passed by the Lords, but as the policy will be retrospectivethe Department of Works and Pensions have already begun to send out letters – fucking heartless bastards. How do you think the letter reads – we are pleased that you are still alive after 12 months but unfortunately you are no longer entitled to any benefit.
