conservative majority, croydon, Croydon Trams, david lean, ikea, monty python reference, nestle, purley, smiley culture

Now Nestle are moving to Crawley, something which could be seen as a positive thing as Nestle policy in Africa is very questionable. Croydon will no longer be it’s home so what will be the ideal replacement. Riots are the first thing that come to mind but probably not the first image that the council want to come to mind. Another was, Croydon home to a mindless conservative majority, but again I don’t think that will get a popular support. Here is another few I had in mind:

– a big fucking unnecessary 57 storey tower

– Purley ay…. (always good to go with a monty python reference)

– Smiley Culture (no wait the police fucking killed him)

– David Lean (but lets fuck over the cinema)

– Croydon Trams (they will be bigger than the Eagles someday)

There are many things that Croydon tries to sweep under the carpet and no doubt it will be industry that wins the day, Croydon home of Ikea is going to be something really be proud of. Croydon does have a really rich tapestry of historical content that should be highlighted not business as this can move, but then again history doesn’t give backhanders.

What an astounding victory for Croydon Trams, actually scoring 5 goals against Badshot Lea, a mighty 10 places above us. With my beloved Wolves suffering their 5th straight defeat, to the Baggies of all teams, it cheered me up knowing that the Trams are beginning to get they act together.

On these performances I give it another 5 years befor the Trams will play Wolves at the Molineaux.

Just as the final whistle was about to be blown, with the Trams drawing 1-1 against Erith & Belvedere in the League Senior Cup, the floodlights failed. I’m sure we would have nicked another goal before the whistle went. The rearranged game is to be played at Park View Road on 11 October 2011, 7:30pm.

Come on the Trams, cup glory beckons.

Just as I thought we had turned a corner with a thumping of Raynes Park, we are knocked out of the cup by Beckenham and lost 3 – 1, away to Ash United. Bring on Molesey at the weekend, they haven’t won at home yet, losing 4 out of their 5  fixtures.

Come on the Trams.

Bloody bloody Beckenham!

Last year myself and Mr Bone witnessed a thrilling 7-3 thrashing of the Trams by Beckenham, knocking us out of the FA Cup, and this year they have knocked us out of the FA Vase (already out of the cup). It sounds like a close fought match this time with teh Trams losing 2-1. So no cup and no vase!

Croydon Trams won 4 – 1, beating Raynes Park with the skill and tactics that would make…………..well Raynes Park jealous.

Roll on Tomorrow battling against Beckenham in the 1st round of the FA Vase.

Croydon FC face Raynes Park Vale tonight looking for their first win of the season, let alone their first home win. With only one point to their name after 5 games, it should get better.

Come on you Trams!
