unsanitary-living-conditions-19th-centuryPeople are suffering all over the country, and things are getting extremely desperate for many families as Cameron has announced that we can afford tax cuts, and Herr IDS denouncing any cause for concern.

The Department for Work and Pensions said there was

“no robust evidence that welfare reforms are linked to increased use of food banks”.

However Food Banks are seeing food handed back because there is not enough credit in their electricity meters to switch on their cooker.

The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Bob Jones spoke of his concern over an increasing worrying trend.

“patterns of criminality are poverty-related where people are stealing food and essential items as opposed to higher value good like electrical items or items like perfumes.”

With regard to the Ukraine President Obama declares that Russia is on the wrong side of history, proclaiming President Putin is behaving in a 19th Century manner in the 21st Century.

Are we sure that the same cannot be applied to the Tories and their control over our country.

Statistics can make anything look good George Osborne but what about the real cost to society?

economic collapse, food banks, george osborne is a cunt

As George Osborne becomes consumed with smugness and self satisfaction, as he counts all his money in his counting house, he has conveyed:

The economic collapse was even worse than we thought. Repairing it will take
even longer than we hoped.

Does this mean more food banks, more homelessness, life becoming increasingly harder for those already struggling to live. He may be comfortable with the numbers on pieces of paper but they don’t take into consideration the real impact of his policies.

I can have a health bank balance if I didn’t spend anything and let my family starve!

food banks, free school meals, greed

It has become apparent that there is a flaw in our system that allows vulnerable families to struggle to eat in school holidays.

In school time, free school meals are provided but in holidays. As I am involved in a school I witness that there are also families who are not entitled to Free School Meals but struggle to provide there children lunch. Despite the Govt stance of ‘let them starve’, my school provides a meal as no child should suffer.

I don’t have answers but simply planting the thought of how can we live in a society that is run by people who are comfortable with children going hungry. I’m due the fags and drink argument will be thrown into the mix by those who ate quite comfortable and don’t give a fuck but that argument can just be cast out with the ‘its not my problem ‘ attitude.

A redistribution of wealth / produce is necessary to ensue people have what they need.

Yes that great song by Half Man Half Biscuit has never seemed so festive as today – poor old Prince Phillip having heart trouble, he must have listened to the report on Radio 5 last night about the increasing use of food banks in Liverpool.

People in this country are struggling to buy food and the major news report we have is Prince Phillip. All I say is don’t die as we can’t afford a state funeral – or if you are going to can it wait until the olympics!

I first read about the emergance of food banks a few months ago, and initially thought the idea was quite a good one; supporting people when they are down on their luck etc.. But then I read that the established food banks are run by the Trussell Trust which is a church based group and now the Job Centre will be referring people there if they are struggling. Yes comrades, witness the rise of the modern day workhouse.

With rising fuel prices & energy bills the price of food is going through the roof; these are the issues that need to be addressed not simply handing out charity – it’s Gods way of punishing sinners – the prices need to be tackled whether it is Governmentt intervention on the cost of fuel or by raising benefits, people shouldn’t have to resort to cap in hand to simply survive in modern society. Most people I know don’t want to be on benefits but circumstances have dictated that this is the case.

If food banks are to exist then surely the community can help donate, and allow those who do need to take what they need, NOT by giving handouts.

Prepare to return to the times of Hardy when only the priveldged went to univesity (Jude the Obscure) and folk look to getting rid of family to afford to live (Mayor of Casterbridge). Yes the Tories are doing a great job in turning back the clock.

Class politics is becomming more and more prevalent in our modern society!
