Lulu, a sexually-enticing young dancer who rises in German society through her relationships with wealthy men, but who later falls into poverty and prostitution, as depicted in  Erdgeist (Earth Spirit, 1895) and Die Büchse der Pandora (Pandora’s Box, 1904) by Frank Wedekind, has been transformed into a musical macabre stage show by the Tiger Lillies.

Anyone who is aware of the Tiger Lillies work will know that this is a common theme for Martin Jacques to turn his attention too, and by all accounts the perfomance is amazing. I can’t wait until it come to London.
