Gira, me, Swans

As another year passes and I grow older and probably unwiser, I remember all the wonderful people I have met in my life, and all the wonderful people that fill it now.

To top the day off my new Swans CD, ‘Not Here/Not Now, arrived today, and if you venture down to the centre of the universe (Woodside and South Norwood Social Club) you may even see some funky dancing like Gira.

I owe David at The Cunningham Amendment a pint!

I have had my wrist slapped, and was nearly taken off the mailing list for the most wonderful original publication, The Cunningham Amendment. In this dot com age it is actually easy to forget the actual real world and actual human contact via pen and paper, or talking. It was actually quite liberating writing a letter, something I haven’t done for a long time (I could have sent 5 emails in the same time) and it felt that it meant a lot more than banging away on a keyboard.

Communication is a great, and the internet has made it easy but less personal. Try and write to someone today, I’m sure they will appreciate it more than an email or text.

I will not risk the wrath of TCA and be labelled passive, I shall fully embrace the fine art of letter writing.

Fuck ARP where is Felix Arthur Lamy?

A far more prestigious birth, that will be born to two inspirational people, who will actually bring there child up themselves and not by a nanny. Felix Arthur Lamy will offer more to this world than ARP, and I’m sure his Dad could beat up ARP’s Dad!

Words of inspiration to help me cope with my jaunt away.

It doesn’t matter much who is in POWER or which revolutionary abbreviation takes over. Those who have learned not to do foe themselves and have to depend on others – end up with diddly squat.

I have posted about Ade and his wish to see an open air theatre built in Brighton. His dedication to theatre in the short time I have known him is second to none, so I intend to do as much as I can to help his wish become fulfilled.

Click to access boat-initial-proposal.pdf

I have put a link on my page so people can go direct to the webpage and simply ‘like’ or offer as little as possible. If 100,000 people gave a £1 etc it will all fall into place.

Please spread this as wide as possible throughout your networking.

Then you have come to the right place…..for a small donation you can help in contributing to the building of an open air theatre. As previously mentioned an old friend Ade Bunting has been diagnosed with cancer, but as theatre & construction run through his blood, he is determined to raise enough funds to enable the open air theatre can be built.

Please contribute and spread far and wide

Football may not be life or death but Saturday will change the world as we know it – Up the Wolves!

WolvesBarnsley need to lose, Crystal Palace need to thrash Peterborough and we need to beat Brighton – if this all aligns then Wolves will remain in the Championship. I rue the day when I said I preferred Wolves in the championship because at least we won matches.

There is also the 4 goal swing which needs to be considered, soI will be following the Palace score witha keen eye – if Wolves win I can’t see it by a big margin, so Palace need to score at least 3 with keeping a clean sheet.

If Wolves go down, so will we all. The sinking feeling in the Midlands will be so great that the country will sink in the middle, bringing the two ends of the country together before we slip down into the abyss below.

So you see the country’s fate is intrinsically attached to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Come On me babbies.

UTW

I personally will blame Kevin (you know who you are) if we go down as a result of Palace’s incompetence in front of goal!

Ade Bunting – all the best, you always made me smile.

On Sunday we found out that an old acquaintance, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. His moving message on Facebook summed up his spirit in life.

Whilst not a close friend, he did live with us for a while upon his return from Africa and was always great company to go out with.

I wish you well Ade, you will be sadly missed by many.
