A service that offers to continue tweeting for you when you are dead.

Fuck me are people really that narcissistic that they think that people will give a fuck about what they think after they are dead. Apparently there is a company that you can sign up to, and no doubt pay handsomely, that will learn your tweeting patterns, frequency, content and syntax so that they can continue when you are dead!

As the economy continues to shrink, watch as stranger and stranger businesses emerge, offering services that you would have never have thought necessary, The beauty of doing things after you are dead is that you cannot challenge them if they fuck up!

Gerry Anderson has died at age 83.

Captain Scarlet was always my favourite, but loved them all, Thunderbirds, Stingray & Joe 90. I have always admired puppeteers, probably as a result of Gerry Anderson’s work.

My thoughts and condolences are with his family.

Did the nurse kill herself as a result of people’s misplaced deference to the Royals

death, Royalty

What an absolute tragic story. She had done nothing wrong, didn’t give any personal details, and probably 9 out 10 people would have done the same.

We’re the hospital going to hang her out to dry as the rest of the world laughed about being duped in a prank call.

Was it world ridicule or pressure from other sources where she felt no option but to take her life. Could it seem as a mass case of hysteric bullying? God help anything go wrong involving the Royals? If that had happened to me or you no one would give a fuck.

My thoughts are with her family.

Atheism – classic or popular

Atheism, death

A friend of mine asked if I was a classic atheist or a popular one, the difference being classic being that you believe there is no God due to various reasons, whereas a popular atheist simply believed there is no God.

We have had terrible shocking news this week with the sudden death of a family friend. She was a kind, generous, selfless woman who made this world a better place but not anymore. If god did exist and did have a plan it must be pretty fucked up, to leave two children and their dad to carry on without her.

My thoughts are with her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Oh how the rich form an orderley queue to die!

Yes it’s official, Mount Everest has the most dangerous queue in the world. Whilst Chomolungma, the Chinese name for Everest meaning Holy Mother, is the pinnacle for most experianced climbers, it has also become a folly for the rich. As long as you can afford it, you will be assigned to a Sherpa who will literally drag you up the mountain in order so you can stand on the highest point in the world.

However the amount of people attempting to summit means that you have to queue at certain points, not only to get up but also to get down, often standing around for up to 2 hours in the death zone; your brain is literally dying at these altitudes.

Not only are deaths increasing on the summit but also the litter; rubbish, empty gas cylinders and abandoned tents are now common sight. What once was an aspirational feat only attempted by the most experianced adventurers, has now been devalued to a high end package tour.

A few books I have read about Chomolungma describe how teh Sherpas offer a prayer to the mountain before they climb and treat the mountain with the uttermost respect.

Perhaps the mountain is beginning to retaliate against all those who don’t!

amy syndrome, crack, death, dolly parton, drug addict, fame and fortune, whitney houston

In case you missed it Whitney Houston died this weekend and god the coverage is somewhat suffocating. Lets remember she was a fucked up drug addict who everybody would say she deserved it apart from she made sand that nauseating song that was always sang better by Dolly Parton. Whitney had ruined her career by substandard performances and let drugs get the better of her life, it’s a shame but at least she got to experience some aspects of life we can only dream about.

I don’t really know too much about Whitney’s situation. but what I really dislike is that history tends to get rewritten when you die, everybody was a fan, everybody thinks your fantastic and what a wanker if you dare to say anything different. People who waste their talent or opportunities that life has presented them shouldn’t be praised for making such a mess of it  – you could call it the Amy syndrome. There are so many people who would kill for three meals a day let alone fame and fortune, so should we really pack the bags of sympathy. The record companies will be rubbing their hands with the compilations that are about to be released.

Perhaps there really is a crossroads and you have to sell you soul for a little piece of fame and fortune.
