Only those who use the NHS should vote to destroy the NHS.

Whilst the Lords defeat Lord Owens proposal to discuss the bill further, and it moves to the Commons for the final vote, wouldn’t it be only fair for those who rely on NHS provision to vote on it’s future. The speaker has granted a 90 minute discussion to the costs and implications of the amendments but it looks as if it will be passed.

Mr Clegg you will have successfully nailed the final nail into the coffin of the Liberal Party.

NHS, nhs reform, pig in a poke

Will this inspire Clegg to finally stand up to Cameron, we can but hope. Clegg argued that they had secured major revisions to the Health and Social Care Bill, but his proposal was defeated by 317 votes to 270. This is an ideal opportunity to break away from the coalition, as this bill wasn’t even on the original colition agreement. The party have basically told Clegg to stop being Cameron’s lapdog and start promoting Liberal policy.

This is an ideal scenario to see if democracy actually works – the majority of the Liberals want the bill pulled, if Clegg refuses surely it highlights that the democtratic system doesn’t actually work. It is proving that once in power a Govt can do what they want, even if they campaigned for the opposite. Cameron used the NHS as a great vote winner – look I won’t destroy it I actually use it – the reality was his BUPA policy didn’t cover pre existing complaints!

Not only will the passing of the bill see the death of the NHS, but also the democratic system!  You will all be voting for a pig in a poke!

Andrew Lansley, nhs reform, universal health care

Last night senior doctors passed a vote of “no confidence” in Health Secretary Andrew Lansley, yet the Govt are pushing on with the controversial health bill. It’s opponents were finally defeated in the Lords, which appears to pave the way for the bill to become an act. All health professional have spoken out against the bill, an e-petition of over 160,000 to get the bill discussed in parliament has been quashed and the disclosure of the risk register was also blocked – so much for democracy.

The coalition came into to power due to the increasing economic crisis coupled with the anger by many, that Brown was never actually elected as PM; NHS reform was never openly discussed, although those who are wise enough knew that the Tories wouldn’t lose an opportunity to destroy 63 years of NHS care. Once a Tory always a selfish arrogant wanker, in fact it was Nye Bevan himself that compared Tories to vermin – Thatcher will be proud. The Liberals have stepped aside, pleased that they have had imact on a minor revision but in essence the NHS is going to become open to the free market, left alone to be ravished by capitalism until it will no longer be recognisable. Gary Glitter sang, “Will you miss me”, well perhaps not a good example to use but you get my point. Once it has gone there will be no turning back……unless………the Queen calls Cameron a selfish cunt and refuses to sign off on the act…..complete uproar that the monarchy have overturned a democratic elected government…………revolution, civil war for the next 20 years……….victors form a working cooperative with first item on the agenda free universal health care for all.

Well we can dream.

college of paediatrics, david cameron, nhs reform, paediatrics and child health

This is how I'm going to crush it.

So Cameron is going to reconsider the Bill to reform the NHS, ‘engaged in ongoing dialogue with health practitioners’  – great we say, fantastic, however opponents of the bill, including the British Medical Association and Royal College of Nursing have been excluded from the meeting. Members of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health joined several Royal Medical Colleges, including the Royal College of GPs are calling for the bill to be scrapped.

So Mr Cameron is going to surround himself with sycophants, whilst gloating to how Thatcher must be really proud. You can imagine the responses now to the question – what do we need to change in this reform?

nothing Mr Cameron, it doesn’t go far enough Mr Cameron, you are considerate allowing the poor to have any sort of health service at all Mr Cameron.

We can afford to call up armed reservists to bolster security when a few gifted people run very fast around a track; we can afford to allow VIP’s to take precedence over emergancy vehicles for a month, for events where no one really got the cheap tickets they were promised; but when it comes to looking after a unique fantastic institution that is the envy of the free world – FUCK IT.

GP’s opposition to ‘Third Degree’ Burns – Simon Burns that is.

nhs reform, simon burns, third degree

This Government make it so easy to write critical stuff as they are so out of touch with what is needed. The economy is in a worse state then when they took over, and now their NHS reform, which has been widely criticised within the health profession has been called to be actually scrapped by Royal College of GP’s. Their decision to publicly oppose the bill has led to Health Minister Simon Burns to become baffled by their opposition. Is it any suprise that he is baffled as he is so far up his own arse it is unbelievable, as his actions over the previous years have proven:

2007 – Burns successfully proposed that within the local vicinity of Parliament, MPs could avoid queues for shops, restaurants, bars, computers, photocopiers and even toilets by pushing in ahead of visitors or staff.

2010 – Burns called Commons speaker John Bercow a “stupid sanctimonious dwarf”  and was one of the few MPs to refuse to shake the Speaker’s hand when he took the oath of allegiance.

2011 – Burns called supporters of 38 Degrees ‘Zombies’

For an Oxbridge graduate who only got a third class honours degree in history, which left him with the nickname third degree burns, what arrogance to think he knows what is best for the health service..oh wait……..that’s right the Tories are determined to destroy the health service so who gives a fuck whats in the bill. (If you smacked your children then they wouldn’t get injured and need medical attention anyway!)

Burns – you will in the next life (if I actually believed in anything in the next life but thats a different discussion)

Conditioning for future changes – prepare for the ‘NHS is failing’ stories.

Andrew Lansley, care quality commission, Care UK, dodgy donation, nhs reform

Now the Tories have been given the green light to go ahead with changes to the NHS, prepare for more and more stories creeping into the press about the failings of the NHS. Before you know it, everyone will be begging for it to be put out of it’s misery and all praise will be to the private healthcare trusts who will offer nothing unless you have the correct insurance.

The Care Quality Commission, ordered by Health Secretary Andrew Lansley, has carried out unannounced visits at 100 hospitals to assess dignity and nutrition standards, identifying concerns in 55 cases.  Lansley said he would encourage whistle-blowers to highlight any concerns they had about the standard of hospital care for the elderly, stating:

We expect that staff across the NHS, if they see examples of poor care they blow the whistle on that, which is precisely why we have introduced changes to the staff contract.

To put all this into context, whilst in opposition as health spokesman, he accepted a donation of £21,000 from  the chairman of private healthcare provider Care UK and founder of the private equity fund Sovereign Capital, which owns several other private healthcare companies.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that the NHS reform isn’t in the best interest of the sick but the greedy.

house of lords, nhs reform

They had a chance to throw it out, they voted to keep it.

They had a chance to send it back for further revision, they voted to keep it.

They sit overseeing our laws but nobody voted for them.

The NHS is not yet doomed but one step closer to the gallows.

Whilst getting back from hospital……..

david cameron, hospital, house of lords, nhs reform

What a coincidence, I look at teh news sight and read that the House of Lords are currently debating the planned Tory ‘shake up’ of the NHS. What a fucking joke, priviledge discussing reforms that favour the priviledge – not quite a balanced discussion. The NHS isn’t some scraps from the table of the wealthy, it was a system born from hindsight after the second world war, to prevent inequality in health issues (see previous post).

David Cameron thought he had the backing of the professionals, but they soon denounced his plans; do you trust those who work in the NHS on a daily basis, or those who only visit when there is an election.

The Tory Party state they are the party for the NHS, I state bollocks.
