The Daily Mail is a paper so full of bile you can question as to whether it hates Britain.

Good on Red Ed (but lets face it he’s not really red at all) and his challenge to Lord Rothermere about the papers culture. I would also add about the lazy journalism that takes place as well.

The Mail is a horrible paper, probably worse that the Sun, as not being a red top tabloid it potentially is held in a bit more regard, however the message is still the same right wing bollocks. I dread to think how many peoples views are tainted by the vile rhetoric that is used by the journalists to make a point.

When South Norwood Tourist Board launched our ‘Lakes’ campaign, the Mail reported on it, but could only show pictures of Croydon and taint Croydon as being full of chavs’. As I said lazy journalism.

The fear and hatred regarding immigrants, people on benefits, homosexuals and not Ed’s Dad for being a communist can be likened to the hatred once promoted by the nationalist socialism in Germany. The black shirted readers think they know how this country could be great by blaming everybody else but themselves.

A ‘Job Snob’ or ‘anti exploitation’ – you decide.

Daily Mail, exploitation, government scheme, Iain Duncan Smith, ids, slavery

Iain Duncan Smith, IDS not to be confused with IBS, has called critics of the wonderful Government  scheme, where 18 – 24 year olds get offered unpaid jobs, as ‘job snobs.  Mr Duncan Smith said in the Daily Mail:

The implicit message behind these attacks is that jobs in retail, such as those with supermarkets or on the High Street, are not real jobs that worthwhile people do. How insulting and demeaning of the many thousands of people who already work in such jobs up and down the country. I doubt I’m the only person who thinks supermarket shelf-stackers add more value to our society than many of those ‘job snobs’ who are pontificating about the government’s employment policies.

You arrogant fucker – it isn’t an insult or demeaning to people who already do those jobs, putting our youth out to work for nothing short of slavery and that is the insult. Take away the EMA so many can’t afford to go into full time education, and offer them unpaid jobs;  if a job needs doing then there should be a wage attached to it. All very inspirational and motivating, next they will bring in conscription because that will make  a man of you (or at least allow you to police the olympics).

I’d rather smoke crack and riot!

Campaign to End Child Poverty, child poverty, Daily Mail, emergance, iron lady, irony, social responsibilty, Tower hamlets

It is quite ironic that the film Iron Lady has been released this week, as the report from the Campaign to End Child Poverty is released, stating what areas are the most hit. The report states that more than 50% of children in Tower Hamlets are below the poverty line, bigger than the national average of 20%; how can we live in a society that allows this to happen. It’s getting so desperate in Greece that people are giving away their children, will it come down to this in this country. If we something isn’t done soon it may come to this – none of the political parties give a fuck apart from their own cabinet office.

We all know about the policies of Thatcher that ruined the industry of this country, sold of social housing etc… but what about her impact on our attitudes; decline in social responsibilty, the breakdown of communities, the emergance of ‘I’m alright Jack’ that reflected the decline of solidarity within the unions; the legacy of Thatcher is far more reaching than her actual policies. How can Cameron even be discussing curtailing big business bonuses when there are children and families struggling in our country, surely it’s not even a consideration. How can we find another 6bn for the Olympics but food banks are on the increase because there is an increasing amount of people that can’t afford to eat (those working as well as those not – so fuck off Daily Mail before you blame scroungers and immigration).

If we wait for the politicians to do something it may be too late – it’s time people woke up and take responsibilty for things that are happening in their streets, and their local area; you don’t need to be political, or part of an organisation / group to give a fuck, or to be told what to do. Trying to make a difference is free – sometimes people just need the littlest thing that would make a massive difference.

There is always bias as Dale Farm deny ‘trouble makers’ claim

The residents of Dale Farm have issued a statement to counterbalance what the press are writing about the growth of their support, however the press are still putting a bias on their reporting. Just read the sentence from the BBC website:

“People fighting eviction from the UKs largest illegal traveller site have denied claims they have been infiltrated by trouble-makers.”

The site isn’t actually illegal as the families of Dale Farm own the land, it is just any building / caravan; to simply describe the site as illegal suggests that they have no right to be there not that planning permission hasn’t been given.

Kathleen McCarthy, a resident of the site has said

Anybody who is welcomed on this site will resist in a peaceful way. Theres been rumours going round that they [trouble makers] have come in and taken over our camp and that’s not the real story. We invited these people here and they are showing us great respect and great support.

A supporters camp called Camp Constant has been set up by Dale Farm and will be manned 24 hours.

It’s all a different situation to the Daily Mail report yesterday. Whilst there is lazy journalism (or clever) to taint the story in order to fan the flames of public fear.

If you are want to join in the support for Dale Farm, Amnesty International have organised a email protest, click on link below to send an email to the appropriate people:

Anarchists, Daily Mail, Dale Farm

What is the Daily mails problem? (Actually what a stupid question. I think people could name thousands and thats not even considering the readership). As if Gypsies weren’t bad enough, trying to make homes for themselves on a plot of land they own, now anarchists and students (can’t students be anarchists or does that start to get confusing) are arriving. Fuck me, the Daily Mail doesn’t half perpetuate fear whenever there is a protest in favour of all things that aren’t endearing to the Daily Mail readership.

Bring back hanging, fox hunting is an effective form of pest control, conscription would sort them all out.

Have you seen the pictures of the families at Dale Farm? They don’t look like they are up to standing to brutal police tactics. What’s wrong with fellow citizens helping out there common man with their struggle; I bet the families there don’t feel hijacked  If you saw a drowning child would you instinctively jump in and save them or would you first worry about ruining your clothes (it’s a a Nicole Fahri don’t you know).

A bit preachy I know but when you see headlines like that it makes my blood boil. What future headlines could they publish:

Anarchists to pose as dog walkers to get near Royal Family

Anarchists will eat you alive if you look in a mirror and say Kropotkin Kropotkin x 3.

Daily Mail – Fuck it and its readership.
