Will ATOS tell people they are not sick, or is it simple diversion tactics.

ATOS, g4s, NHS

Its a fucking disgrace that a company that have knowingly caused the deaths of vulnerable people has now been given the task of spying..oh sorry…….collating all the NHS records. Will they get to tell people they are not sick or bill those who use the NHS too much.

It could also be a simple piece of diversion. Get people so angry about the appointment of ATOS, that they forget that the real enemy is the proposal to collate all the data. Lets not get sidetracked by an incompetent company (lets face it G4S manage to keep going), and defend another attack on civil liberties.

If you go to the gym and prove you buy healthy food you can jump the queue for NHS treatment.

A think tank has come up with the idea that healthier people should be treated quicker than those who lead a lifestyle that they are obviously judging. By providing shopping receipts and gym membership cards you too can have preferential treatment on the NHS.

How dare society become so judgemental to people’s choices. No-one is perfect and is just perpetuating the divide based on class in society. Not everyone can afford gym membership even if they wanted it; not everyone can afford all the healthy choices from the shops.

Rather than address the resulting issue of the problem, why not address the problem. Why not prescribe fruit and veg to a family who is suffering a lack of vitamins, why not give out free gym memberships to those who want to go the gym but can’t afford it. Lets address the root cause of the issues in society not knee jerk reactionary ideas that simply discriminate against the working classes.

Stafford Hospital – a fucking disgrace to Nye.

NHS

The reference is to my son Nye and Nye Bevin, after whom he was named.

In the years leading up to 2008 hundreds of people died at Stafford Hospital amid “appalling” levels of care, and my Grandad, John ‘Jack’ Cooper, was one of them. He told me and my Dad that the level of care was appalling and the nurses were evil; but he could be a cantancarous, arrogant old sod (a bit like me) and we assumed that like everything else, it was just him.

I miss him dearly.

Jeremy Hunt jumps at the opportunity to justify privatisation.

Blair, jeremy hunt, NHS, reform

Health Secretary Jeremy ‘silent k’ Hunt has seized the opportunity to state he is “disgusted and appalled” at accounts of patient neglect at a hospital in Worcestershire. In the worst instance of mistreatment  a patient starved to death at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.

Will Hunt look at how the NHS can be remodelled to ensure things like this are prevented – down with bureaucracy and autonomous silos – the NHS needs to be nationally run, no postcode lotteries, no more geographical funding issues; but I’m sure he will use this as an opportunity to justify why privatisation is needed. Thats right Jeremy with less poor people about, the less the Tories have to ‘bother’ about things like social responsibility.

Whilst the events at the hospital are disgusting, they are a result of the failings in part privatisation started by the Tories in the early 90’s and the ‘best value’ practices of Tony ‘I did it all for me’ Blair.

Will George Osborne deliver another nail into the coffin of our Country

budget, free schools, fuck the Tories, george osborne is a cunt, NHS, welfare state

Today day is the Autumn Statement, and Mr Osborne gets a chance to screw everybody who isn’t rich or priviledged. The services that we all rely on will continue to be screwed.

  • Cameron insists that they have kept their election promise with NHS spending going up – hoorah we say – a Government website has produced the figures showing that REAL spending has decreased: NHS real spending of £105,073m (09/10), £104,353m (10/11), £104,333m (11/12) – boo hiss we say.
  • Osborne has promised that there will be more spending on schools – hoorah we say – but only on Free schools or acadamies – boo hiss we say.

Soon we will all have to pay to have insurance for healthcare that will never pay up when you need it, and schools that won’t accept children if they have any different educational needs. We will end up with workhouses, dame schools and back alley doctors as many people will not be able to access what we now take as a right.

If people don’t fight back – anyway you know how – we are going to lose the whole welfare state, free education and healthcare, and the class divide will become even wider than it is now.

Class politics had begun to take a backseat as people became complacent with teh lies of the Blair / Brown governments but now it is alive and well. The Tories have breathed new life into a form of politics that had never really gone away.

FUCK THE TORIES

Is Ed the man to protecting Nye Bevan’s Legacy – let battle commence

labour, NHS

The NHS is respected throughout the world until it’s demise began with the Tories privatisation and quango’s, New Labour’s ‘best value’ and now just blatent policies to destruct the legacy of Nye Bevan.

The NHS stands for everything that the Tories hate, an establishment that embodies teh principles of social resposibility that should be prevalent in everyone. Medical attention is not something that you should haveto worry about affording.

This is a clever move by Labour, let’s gloss over our economic policies and unite the ‘one nation’ under the NHS flag, promising to reverse any current legislation put in by the Tories.

Can Ed unite the party and galvanise the public behind him?

Is there hope for the NHS as Clegg is defeated by his own party.

NHS, nhs reform, pig in a poke

Will this inspire Clegg to finally stand up to Cameron, we can but hope. Clegg argued that they had secured major revisions to the Health and Social Care Bill, but his proposal was defeated by 317 votes to 270. This is an ideal opportunity to break away from the coalition, as this bill wasn’t even on the original colition agreement. The party have basically told Clegg to stop being Cameron’s lapdog and start promoting Liberal policy.

This is an ideal scenario to see if democracy actually works – the majority of the Liberals want the bill pulled, if Clegg refuses surely it highlights that the democtratic system doesn’t actually work. It is proving that once in power a Govt can do what they want, even if they campaigned for the opposite. Cameron used the NHS as a great vote winner – look I won’t destroy it I actually use it – the reality was his BUPA policy didn’t cover pre existing complaints!

Not only will the passing of the bill see the death of the NHS, but also the democratic system!  You will all be voting for a pig in a poke!

and it began in Hinchingbrooke.

circle healthcare, hinchingbrook, NHS, privatisation

Hinchbrooke has become the first NHS hospital to be given over to the private sector; Circle Healthcare have been handed the hospital on a ten year lease. Quickly looking at the main people involved in Circle Healthcare: Ali Parsa, Chief Executive & Garri Jones, Head of Financing both come from a background with Goldman Sachs. Wait a minute are Goldman Sachs that well respected health specialists…..mmmmm no..they are a corporate leech sucking the wealth out of anything they can latch themselves to. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that there may be other priorities for Circle Healthcare than teh provision of mediacl attention.

The Tories privatised the cleaning of hospitals in the early 90’s and now we have the superbug MRSA due to the uncleanliness of some hospitals. The future doesn’t look good for Hinchbrook hospital and those who rely on it’s services.
