Mansion Tax and the Bogeyman designed to do the same thing.

21 Saturday Mar 2015

The Bogeyman is a common allusion to a mythical creature in many cultures used by adults or older children to frighten bad children into good behaviour.

bm

The mansion tax is a way of telling people that they need to redistribute their wealth as they have to much; either through luck or greed, if you own a £2 million house you can afford it – there are people who don’t have anywhere to live.

They are both ways of telling those who know no better that there practices should change. The rich should be careful when they close there eyes as the Bogeyman WILL get them. Right is right because it is right not because Politicians/law/religion/ parents/school/social media/friends* say it is!

* apply whatever

Cheryl is quaking as we speak.
In the desolate depths of a perilous place
the bogeyman lurks, with a snarl on his face.
Never dare, never dare to approach his dark lair
for he’s waiting . . . just waiting . . . to get you.
He skulks in the shadows, relentless and wild
in his search for a tender, delectable child.
With his steely sharp claws and his slavering jaws
oh he’s waiting . . . just waiting . . . to get you.
Many have entered his dreary domain
but not even one has been heard from again.
They no doubt made a feast for the butchering beast
and he’s waiting . . . just waiting . . . to get you.
In that sulphurous, sunless and sinister place
he’ll crumple your bones in his bogey embrace.
Never never go near if you hold your life dear,
for oh! . . . what he’ll do . . . when he gets you!

Inequality has never been so low, the rich are paying more than their fare share, reducing student fees would be unfair – living standards are generally increased.

Am I living in a different country?

If the Tories get in again this country is fucked for the working class, with no future for the young unless your parents are rich.

It’s no wonder my dark friend has appeared again, clouding my thoughts, hopes and dreams.

Will money be the factor over #Clarkson.

Sack the cunt, who revels in the face of sticking two fingers to public decency….oh sorry political correctness. Generally people who are adverse to common sense are those throwbacks to an egalitarian jingoistic view of the world. Their marvel in our antiquated notion of nobility and hierarchy is not to be applauded but condemned and put out of it’s misery.

Jeremy Clarkson revels in this world but Top Gear is a big money spinner. I don’t understand the world of ‘petrolhead’ but then I’ve never thought driving a car really really fast was either big, clever or interesting; just another dull topic that Alpha males can walk each other off over, but the BBC shouldn’t back down IF he is guilty. This is an alleged assault and if I’m sure if a producer were to punch Clarkson, they’d be thrown to the dogs. However will they find a get out clause, banter, joshing, tom foolery come to mind, and back down or take a plunge and revisit the format without Clarkson.

The original Stig was on Radio 5 and it completely justified the view that Clarkson is a twat – it was like the old school boys network, described Clarkson basically as a man not to be trifled with and it’s all a bloody good show and he is a decent chap, punch up’s are good, not really a story. Tell that to anyone who has ever suffered workplace bullying.

Clarkson is not Marmite, unless it’s the pot you find at the back of the cupboard, outdated with mould growing in it from all the shit that is inside.

#HSBC – The Scorpion and the Frog

10 Tuesday Feb 2015

Unknown

A scorpion asks a frog to carry him over a river. The frog is afraid of being stung during the trip, but the scorpion argues that if it stung the frog, both would sink and the scorpion would drown. The frog agrees and begins carrying the scorpion, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When asked why, the scorpion points out that this is its nature.

Why are people really surprised?

‘Ouses, Ouses’ Ouses………is that how you judge success?

04 Thursday Dec 2014

How do you judge success, career, family, material wealth? There is no right answer but trying to push material things to a successful life just cause problems. Do you really have to own your own home? If tenure was secured, rents fair and old age pension adequate do you need home ownership.

The demand is pushing prices through the roof, to a level where hardly anyone can afford them, yet everyone still aspires. If you don’t own a home are you classed as a failure? Property Ownership has become so much more than simple dwellings – legacy for children, downsizing to top up state pension or to pay for your care home.

We all want security but over the years the state provided safety net has been destroyed leading to people believing that investing in property will secure their future.

This post offers no answers but just to raise the question regarding why home ownership is now perceived as essential!

Inflation to the Rescue but don’t mention the kids.

Mixed messages by George Osborne today; everything is fine, the economy is growing and the deficit is reduced or unveiled, more people are below the poverty line than ever, and low inflation has meant the deficit has been reduced more than anticipated and spending on credit is still attractive.

However unemployment is at 5.3% and probably higher if you include 0 contract hours ; the burden of this falling on our youth. People now have to carry on working later in life but with a finite amount of jobs something has to give. What better way to sow the seeds of discontent that begin to create a disenchanted youth. No apprenticeships and limited vocational training leave a lot of our youth on the wasteland. If you choose to get educated you become so debt ridden, employers can take advantage of a swelled competitive market.

We should be investing in our children, teaching skills with employment at the end of it, free education for those who desire it and a fair wage to allow them to become independent and not only able to survive by living with their parents.

The Government encourage home ownership but very few affordable homes, they encourage free enterprise which encourage employers to make as much profit as possible (low wages, no contracts); the public sector is being reduced to make way for pure economic Darwinism, a new apartheid, a new monetary cleansing – race no longer matters as long as the colour is money. How do they disguise this, blame immigration. The Sun, the Daily Mail make sure that the public blame a personified reason rather than philosophical principles. This country is not evolving but regressing.

Whilst the low income family, working or non working, wonder how they are going to pay the bills, this Government allows companies that sell torture equipment to set up at the local arms fairs, selling arms to countries that can’t afford it. Who said morality and ethics have a place in Government.

All money is only as valuable as the markets & Government dictate.

base currency, Bretton Woods agreement, commodity money, currency, fiat money, Government forces

deIt actually has no value, only the value the Government forces upon it; it is not linked to any raw commodity or material – it is basically paper or plastic, as some of the new currencies are. It is basically fiat money, as opposed to commodity money. After WW2, the Bretton Woods agreement, chose the US Dollar as base currency, fixing the value of 35 United States dollars to one troy ounce of gold; other currencies were then linked to the dollar at a fixed rate. However all the gold would be kept in the US with bonds being exchanged as good will.

In 1971, many countries saw the US overspending (Vietnam, Space Race) and didn’t trust bonds, believing there actually wasn’t enough gold to back the dollar (there wasn’t) and demanded actual gold instead of bonds. In true Capitalistic form, when their back is against the wall Nixon simply abolished the link to gold; only temporary but it has never returned. Now every currency is simply based against what the markets deem its value against the dollar but having NO actual value apart from (empty) government promises. It is rumoured that there is only about 3% of physical paper currency in comparison to what is written on balance sheets.

Governments can deliberately devalue their currency to make importing/exporting more profitable but make no mistake the market controls the value. Those lovely men in the City / Wall Street who don’t give a fuck about none.

In my made the quickest way to undermine any economy is to make a run on the bank – everyone draw there money out at the same time – just as Northern Rock gave us a glimpse, it would really make the institutions quake.

So cutting the top tax rate to 45% has increased revenue?

05 Saturday Apr 2014

Posted by spideysaves in Economy

imagesTechnically yes it has, but only because the greedy fuckers are not hiding as much of their income offshore or in loopholes. By reducing the amount you want to take off people does not increase your revenue – closing tax loopholes and any avenue where the rich hide their money, would increase the revenue. A policy that initially works because it encourages people to be honest and not pay accountants lost of money to find inventive place to hide their money, rather than pay their fair share into society to support those less fortunate, is not really a policy, just smoke and mirrors.

It won’t last as next year revenue will be down as greed takes over and the rich moan that 45% is too high, so they push for the tax rate to come down to 40%; revenue initially goes up as the rich briefly declare a little more of their income in order to justify the reduction, and then greed takes over…….

Nobody needs any more than £150k per annum to live on, tax the fuckers, build new hospitals, schools etc..

Full Employment – Has anyone told George Osborne that he is talking bollocks?

31 Monday Mar 2014

Posted by spideysaves in Discourse, Economy

Believe it or not, and whether people like it or not, having an element of people that do not want to work is actually a necessity within any successful economy. It is also a complete paradox that the Tories talk about a free market with no state intervention, yet will happily use any power possible to dictate what the working class should be doing, as any consequence has little impact on the rich.

If you read any economics, full employment is not actually a figure, it is an acceptable balance between inflation and unemployment. Full employment will push inflation through the roof, forcing an increase in interest rates, meaning many will lose there homes if they bought within a housing bubble. Most other aspects of the 80’s have been recreated by this Government so why not negative equity.

Frankly, there was not enough pressure to get a job. Some people could just sign on and get almost as much money staying at home as going out to work

The ‘Help to Work’ scheme or ‘Creating a slave market’ scheme, anyone out of work for more than three years will be degraded and belittled, having all staff in the job centre point and laugh whilst poking you with a big stick whilst handing out menial jobs so you don’t lose your benefits. Job Centre staff will at least fill their potential of becoming judgemental bureaucratic cunts, they may even give you a coloured star to wear! Absolute power etc

Osborne is just deluding the pubic that the issues will all be resolved if everybody was working and we had no public sector. Every country in the world envies of welfare system and NHS, if anything tax should go up to keep it alive and kicking.

A change is needed but I doubt if it will come from the ballot box!
