It’s hard trying to explain politics and events to children without putting your own bias on it. You want them to have free and independent thought but sometimes you just can’t help yourself. We were simply chatting about Meryl Streep playing Margaret Thatcher, and my daughter Lily has written this song about her:
Margaret Thatcher, the milk snatcher
Margaret Thatcher, the milk snatcher.
She saw a little kid drinking milk down the road
she took it, right there, right now, right here

Thatcher was a snatcher
When she stole our milk she was wearing silk

She took our milk
doesn’t matter anyway it was horrible
but it still was mean
THAT EVIL LITTLE LADY.
As you can tell my children have no political bias whatsoever.
